Barcelona ohhhh I love you pt1

Where do I begin with a city that was just incredible?!?!?! Do I talk about the Food, the city, the men, or just the overall experience? I figured I should start with the food since thats usually my favorite subject in general. The Food in barcelona was unforgettable. I had the best little tapa burgers with tapa croquets. Roasted chicken over steamed rice and sauce. The wine was incredible and cheap!!! My mouth watered at the site or smell of food.

The city was exactly how every city should be!!!! Efficient metro system, close to the beach, beautiful buildings, and easy to navigate and walk around. I stayed at the AC Diplomat which was in Palace de Garcia. Location wise is was perfect. The weather couldn't have been better either we had nothing but sunny skies and warm days. Nothing extremely hot.

The men in barcelona was so hot that it became very overwhelming/numbing. The city was packed with tons of guys from overseas and every corner you looked you saw a hot Man. It got to the point where you just stop staring since it was so common to see a hottie right next to you or in front of you.

I did most of the siteseeing with my friend Eddie whos from New York. And went to the parties with Tons of Australians that I know. I mean I knew about 20 Aussies there and we all got together for lunch and dinner plus the parties. Also tons of New Yorkers and many more Frenchies.

I payed a visit to the Joan Miro museum, also to the Sagrada Familia, Picasso museum, and Casa Batlo

Aussies in New York and Robs Bday party

Whats better the one Aussie visiting from Australia..... try 3!!!!

My really good friends Dennis and his Bf Zane made it to NYC to pay a small visit to the city that has it all. Also my friend Fabio was in town as well who I met on my last visit to Sydney.

I cant even start to tell you the shenanigan we boys got up too but lets just say after the week was over all I wanted to do was be a hermit and stay in doors.

The pictures are from my really good friends Robs Bday BBQ in queens. He had a Pac Man theme and it was hilarious and fun. The Aussies had a great time and so did I.

Also on one of the nights I snuck my sister and her best friend to a local bar. I had taken my sister to dinner and I was taking the Boys out for one last time and I remembered the place didn't check for Id's. So we went to Duane Read got some make up and headed out for a short while.

At the bar I got them a club soda with some cranberry juice :)

No drinking on my watch. Everyone that saw my sister said we looked alike the only thing is she doesn't dance ( still working on that )

The pines

So the crew and I went on another journey to fire island to make it to the Pine Party.

The Pines party is more than just an all-night dance, Pines Party is the community’s premier annual fundraising event, providing grants for two essential beneficiaries: the Stonewall Community Foundation and the Fire Island Pines Property Owners Association Charitable Foundation.Stonewall grants benefit the LGBT population of New York City by helping AIDS patients, combating HIV infections, supporting breast cancer research, and promoting human rights.

Its a full-on event and Davis was gracious enough to allow me and a few friends to spend the night at his home. Davis goes out to the island every weekend to enjoy the sun, men, and water.

I was feeling extremly tried and I ended up resting in Davis home while the boys went out to Low tea and High tea. When they came back we had a lovely dinner. Cornell brought over a steak to cook and a simple salad was made as well......oh and some ice-cream too.

After dinner the guys got ready and we headed over to the event. I cant say the music was very good but spending time with the guys was fun.

Simple summer day by the pool

These are just pictures from the time we went up to Cornell family home in upstate New york.

Nothing major happened just a relaxing day by the pool. A few games here and there and a walk around Crouton neighborhoods.

The Gaga Lady

Ok so I cant say I am a big music fan. I really dont follow bands or groups or artist. There are a few here and there that I like and I appreciate. Others that I can care less.

The Gaga lady is one of those performers that I cant say I am in love with or that I really can say I like. I would say I am indifferent. I mean she has a few songs that I really enjoy listening to, But in the end I feel like I have seen it all before and that she really isnt that different from the rest.

Something I can say about her is that she did put on an amazing show at Madison Square Garden. My friends love and adore her and when they said they wanted to see her concert I jumped in on the action. I havent been to a concert since last year and Miss Britney wasnt that Great.

Gaga lady really impressed me with her songs, her show, her singing and overall performance. Can I say that I love her now ???? Not really but you bet Ill keep an eye out for her. Something that I do like about her thats different is how she is a proud supporter of the LGBT community. She is using her influence to let people know that the LGBT people need love, support and that she is standing with them in the fight against discrimination, Harassment , and violence.

Fire Island "Invasion"

Summer in New York isnt summer till you have made a few trips to Fire island. This year I have been over to the island about 8 times already (I guess I am making up for the summer I was away). Each time a different experience.

For July 4th the Crew and I went over to the island to watch for the first time the "Invasion"

"Now the Invasion starts out every 4th of July at Noon in downtown Cherry Grove as a parade of hundreds of drag queens and drag kings boarding a big ferry and disembarking in the Fire Island Pines harbor to the welcoming music and cheers of thousands of gay men, women, and straight admirers. The Invasion is an example of the power of transformation and freedom that gays and lesbians possess to unite our communities in celebrating our own diversity"

Lets just say it would have been tons of fun if the sun wasnt beaming on us and the crowd wasnt so tall. We later went over to Wills & Toms place and chilled by the pool. I remember taking it really easy that day. Pride had been the week before and I was not in the mood to start all over again. Temptation was there dont get me wrong but I was able to stare into temptations eye and said NO. We got on the 1030 ferry back to New York :)
